About
Theory → Code → Systems
Fibonacci Press exists for people who want more than technical buzzwords.
We publish books, build software, and deliver technical services for readers, engineers, executives, researchers, students, and organizations that need to understand complex systems deeply enough to build them, evaluate them, and trust them.
Our focus is first-principles technical knowledge: mathematics, algorithms, code, simulation, estimation, navigation, AI, cyber, aerospace, and mission-grade engineering.
The goal is simple: Understand the theory. Inspect the implementation. Apply it to real systems.
More Than a Publisher
Fibonacci Press is not a conventional textbook publisher. It is the public technical platform of Roysdon LLC: a place where rigorous books, inspectable software, and expert services reinforce each other.
Our books teach the concepts.
Our software exposes the algorithms.
Our consulting, bootcamps, and masterclasses help people apply the ideas in real organizations and real engineering workflows.
That matters because modern technical work is too often split into three weak pieces: expensive textbooks that do not show enough code, black-box software that hides the math, and training that repeats vendor slogans instead of building judgment. We are building the opposite.
Books That Teach the Whole Stack
A Fibonacci Press book is designed to connect intuition, mathematics, pseudocode, implementation, and practical use.
The flagship AI/ML text, A Comprehensive Approach to Data Science, Machine Learning & AI, is an 840-page full-color hardcover covering 55 algorithm families, with 264 code tutorials in MATLAB, Python, and R. The book is built around intuitive explanation, mathematical derivation, from-scratch pseudocode, implementation, and summary review.
That is the standard: not just what the algorithm does, but why it works, how to implement it, where it fails, and how to think about it.
Our catalog includes books on AI, machine learning, mathematics, research methods, Bayesian estimation, and sensor fusion. Current book listings include A Comprehensive Approach to Data Science, Machine Learning & AI, Math Refresher for AI & Machine Learning, Math Handbook for AI & Machine Learning, How to do Research, and Optimal Nonlinear Bayesian Estimation & Sensor Fusion.
Software You Can Inspect
Our software is built for people who do not want magic. They want to see the equations, inspect the code, test the assumptions, and understand the failure modes.
The Roysdon AI Toolbox includes 268 from-scratch implementations in MATLAB, Python, and R, aligned to the textbook. It is designed so users can trace code to pseudocode, pseudocode to equations, and equations back to the underlying concept.
The broader software line includes tools for AI, aircraft design and simulation, navigation, signal generation, and ground-truth trajectory smoothing. Current products include Roysdon AI, Roysdon Aero, Roysdon Nav, Roysdon Signal Generator, and Roysdon Ground Truth.
These tools are not meant to hide complexity behind a button. They are meant to help serious users understand, validate, teach, prototype, and deploy.
Engineering Tools Built From Real Systems
Dr. Roysdon’s software is built around the same principle as the books: theory should survive contact with implementation.
Roysdon Aero is positioned as an aircraft design, flight simulation, and real-time control toolbox for conceptual design, 6-DOF dynamics, guidance/navigation/control, formation flight, intercepts, recovery systems, and embedded flight software transition.
Roysdon Nav focuses on INS/GPS/GNSS and multi-sensor navigation, nonlinear Bayesian estimation, RTK/GNSS carrier-phase processing, trajectory smoothing, sensor modeling, and real-time embedded navigation workflows.
Roysdon Signal Generator is a physics-based trajectory and sensor simulation environment for generating realistic vehicle trajectories and sensor outputs for navigation, autopilot, sensor-fusion, regression testing, Monte Carlo testing, and algorithm validation.
Roysdon Ground Truth is a full nonlinear Bayesian trajectory smoothing system for generating high-fidelity ground-truth trajectories from IMU/GPS data, including carrier-phase integer ambiguity resolution and centimeter-level positioning workflows.
The unifying philosophy is the same across all of them: No black boxes. No shallow demos. No vendor lock-in. Just inspectable technical systems.
Services That Transfer Judgment
Fibonacci Press also offers consulting, masterclasses, mentoring, and bootcamps. The services are designed for organizations that need more than awareness. They need judgment.
Current services include advanced engineering and applied AI consulting, coaching and mentoring, AI/ML masterclasses for senior leaders, AI law and U.S. constitutional law masterclasses, and AI/ML bootcamps.
The consulting work spans aerospace systems, navigation and estimation, AI/cyber analytics, simulation, testing, deployment, and high-consequence technical decision-making. The consulting page states the core philosophy plainly: the focus is not slideware; it is systems that work.
The bootcamps are built for serious organizations and use a hands-on model, with small cohorts and approximately 30% lecture and 70% applied work.
Independent Publishing Without Inflated Prices
Technical books should not be priced like luxury objects. Fibonacci Press is independent. We design book formats carefully, work with efficient independent printing partners, and avoid unnecessary publishing overhead. That lets us offer premium technical books at prices far below what many comparable full-color technical books cost.
Lower price does not mean lower seriousness. It means we would rather put value into content, color, diagrams, code, paper quality, and reader access than into legacy publishing overhead.
The mission is to make serious technical knowledge more available to the people who will actually use it.
Peer Review and Technical Integrity
We take technical review seriously. Our review process is built around correctness, clarity, practical usefulness, and intellectual honesty. Reviewers and technical advisors include senior experts such as Technical Fellows from major companies, tenured professors, FFRDC experts, senior federal technical experts, and IEEE and AIAA Fellows.
The purpose of review is not ceremonial. It is to make the work stronger: clearer explanations, better examples, corrected claims, stronger code alignment, better pedagogy, and more useful technical judgment.
We want readers to trust the material because it has been built, checked, and improved by people who understand the work.
Founder Bio
Paul F. Roysdon, Ph.D., is the founder and owner of Fibonacci Press. He is the former Deputy Director of National Intelligence, former Leidos VP / Chief AI Scientist / Technical Fellow, and former NSA Chief Data Scientist with 25+ years building AI, cyber, autonomy, secure infrastructure, and mission systems for high-consequence environments and several OCONUS deployments.
He has authored five technical books and 60+ publications, holds granted patents with additional filings, and has taught AI, machine learning, data science, cyber, and technical leadership to practitioners across government, industry, and advanced engineering organizations.
Fibonacci Press is where that experience becomes teachable: rigorous books, inspectable software, and practical training for people who need to understand systems deeply enough to build, evaluate, and trust them.

The Standard
Every Fibonacci Press product should answer three questions:
Can the reader understand it?
Can the engineer inspect it?
Can the practitioner use it?
That is the standard behind the books, the software, and the services. Theory → Code → Systems. That is Fibonacci Press.
