Roysdon Nav
Overview
Navigation System Design, Estimation & Real-Time GNSS/INS Toolbox
The Roysdon Nav Toolbox is a state-of-the-art navigation engineering environment, built around optimal estimation theory and real-world sensor behavior. This toolbox supports centimeter-level navigation, full INS/GNSS mechanizations, and real-time embedded systems used for ground truth generation and deployed navigation stacks. Analysis software is written in MATLAB, realtime software is written in C/C++. Full and complete documentation and tutorials are provided.
Visit this page for more details.
What It Enables
Design and validation of INS, GPS, GNSS, and multi-sensor navigation systems
Research-grade Bayesian estimation and smoothing
Full sensor-error modeling and observability analysis
Transition from simulation to real-time embedded navigation
Core Capabilities
Advanced State Estimation
EKF, optimal Bayesian, and full-nonlinear estimators
Loosely- and tightly-coupled GPS/INS
Integer ambiguity resolution (RTK, L1/L2)
Centimeter-Level Ground Truth
Nonlinear trajectory smoothing with integer constraints
Used directly for scientific publications and validation
Sensor Modeling & Error Analysis
IMU coning/sculling, divergence, alignment, Allan variance
Baro, magnetometer, GPS, and multi-sensor fusion
Trajectory & Signal Generation
3-DOF and 6-DOF trajectory generators
Realistic sensor simulators for GPS, IMU, radar, sonar, and more
Real-Time Systems
Embedded GPS-INS navigation stacks
RTK base/rover implementations
Data acquisition systems and binary parsers (NovAtel, u-blox, custom)
Ideal for:
Autonomous vehicles, robotics, aerospace navigation, surveying, defense, and precision positioning systems.
Key Advantage
Roysdon LLC delivers production-grade aerospace, navigation, and AI toolchains that collapse years of R&D into immediately deployable engineering systems.
Unlike academic frameworks or vendor-locked platforms, these toolboxes are:
Built from real aircraft, navigation, and embedded deployments
Fully inspectable and extensible
Designed for mission-critical environments
This software directly replaces:
Fragmented internal toolchains
Years of bespoke estimator and simulator development
Vendor-locked black-box solutions
Competitive Advantage
End-to-end coverage: theory → simulation → real-time systems
Proven mathematical rigor
Field-tested architectures
No dependency on proprietary runtimes
Suitable for air-gapped and classified environments
